Achievements of 2007  
     
 
The Kuwait Dive Team in the Environmental Protection Society continued with help of its members in forwarding many projects and programmes that contributed effectively and distinctly in protecting, as well as rehabilitating the Kuwaiti marine environment. Herein, we shall briefly state the most significant operations which were achieved within the Team's objectives.
     
Environmental Field  
  Lifting Operations  
 
Lifting a wooden submerged ship with a total length of 50 feet and 8 tons in weight in the eastern coast of north Ras Al-Ardh.
Lifting a wooden submerged ship with a total length of 60 feet and 10 tons in weight in Souq Sharq Marina.
  Operations of removing wastes and fishing nets stuck in coral reefs
 
Removing fishing nets stuck in the Coral Reefs at Kobar Island.
Removing stuck fishing nets to the east of Um Al-Maradem Island.
Removing fishing nets from Arefjan coral area.
Removing fishing nets from Taylor coral area.
Removing fishing nets from Bneida coral area.

  Marine Moorings in Coral Reefs Locations  
 
The Kuwait Dive Team performed the routine maintenance for the marine moorings near islands and Coral Reefs for the necessity of replacing some parts of moorings and maintaining other parts for the safety of its users.
Installing 13 new marine moorings in Kobar Island.
Installing 5 new marine moorings in Beneh coral reefs.
Installing 20 new marine moorings in Um Al-Maradem and Qaroh Islands.
Installing 6 new marine moorings in Arefjan coral reefs.
Installing 8 new marine moorings in Bneida coral reefs.
Installing 3 new marine moorings in Turaitheth coral reefs.
Installing 3 new marine moorings in Taylor coral reefs.
Installing 5 new marine moorings in Um Deerah coral reefs.
  Rescuing Marine Creatures  
 
The Kuwait Dive Team succeeded in rescuing sea creatures, living and dead fish and coral rocks that got stuck in fishing nets.
Kuwait Dive Team is calling for protecting the whale shark through media and advertising campaigns.
  Coastal Environment  
 
Performing recurrent and routine checks for the coasts to examine submerged particles and harmful wastes to the marine coastal environment and taking the necessary steps for its radical treatment.
     
Scientific Field  
 
Checking the Dive Team Website’s electronic mail (Email) and replying fully with information to answer enquiries, as well as requests for the Team and its environmental activities.
     
Technical Field  
 
Completing the workshops equipment and devices that are used in the Team's Operations.
Repairing and maintaining the Team's cruisers and boats.
Providing the Team's boat with new motors that are equipped with navigational equipment.
